You are invited to join me for a spiritual journey into the Sacred Heart of the plant medicine world—a world of non-dual, transdimensional, and archetypal knowledge, from Friday, May 10th to Friday, May 17th, 2024 in the forests outside Rio Bonito, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

On this special trip, we will enter the forest and explore the realms of cosmic consciousness while participating in authentic plant medicine ceremonies with the sacrament of Ayahuasca—a psychedelic plant brew also known as Santo Daime— at a center that has been offering ceremonies for over 20 years.

I have worked with this medicine for over 15 years and have had many powerful personal transformations related to this work as a medical doctor and psychedelic mentor as part of the California Institute of Integral Studies Certificate in Psychedelic Therapy and Research program.

Our group will join with other participants for three ceremonies as part of the “White Nights” section of the center’s Cura Festival celebration, where we will gather, meditate, sing, and move while we open our hearts to the music of world class musicians while exploring the wonders of this sacred medicine. The ceremonies are spaced out every other day to allow for rest and integration. (White Nights is the name for the center’s traditional ceremonies, with three glasses of medicine. Each night we will sing a different songbook: Samasati, Ciranda PoimPoim, and Aquarela (which are available for purchase or rent at the center for approximately $15/book).

Outside the ceremonies we will refresh ourselves in crystal clear waterfalls, eat local healthful cuisine, meditate, and participate in integration and meditation sessions led by me, to help us make the most of our experiences.

The retreat with me begins a day before the first ceremony, so there is time to adjust to Brazil and prepare ourselves for the ceremonies. The ceremonies take place overnight, starting later in the evening around 8:30pm, and ending around 9:00am the next morning. A healthy natural breakfast is then served with the rest of the morning and afternoon to rest and integrate. After each ceremony there will be a two-hour group integration session with me, which will include meditation.

There will be plenty of free time to enjoy the nearby forest and the beautiful grounds of the retreat center which includes beautiful waterfalls, a pool, hiking trails, and lounging in nature.

The goal of this retreat is to harness the power of the plant medicine Ayahuasca and use it as an ally to awakening, transformation, and experiencing cosmic consciousness.

Schedule:

The retreat begins with registration on the day of arrival, (May 10th) followed by a meditation at 6:00pm and dinner following at 7:00pm (to be confirmed). The retreat will end at 12:00pm on Friday, May 17th. Transportation back to Rio de Janeiro Galeao International Airport (GIG) will be arranged.

Please arrive into Rio de Janeiro Galeao International Airport (GIG) on May 10th, where KD Meyers will meet you and excort you to the retreat center which is located about 90 minutes from Rio (GIG) airport.

The first day provides time to settle in and prepare for the first ceremony on Friday night, May 11th. There will be daily meditation/integration sessions led by KD Meyers at alternate times—some evening, some morning—depending on our ceremony schedule. These sessions include meditation, dialogue, inquiry, Q&A, music and song presented in a beautiful natural setting.

About the Special Guest Teacher, KD Meyers

KD Meyers is a teacher and author, who dedicated his life to spiritual pursuit over thirty years ago. In his books, programs, and retreats, he shares the insights and understanding he has gained through all his spiritual work. He founded The Mystery School in 2018, and his teachings focus on spiritual liberation, soul development, and transdimensional illumination.

Jeff believes the material world of time and space is not the only reality there is, and it's not the only one we have access to. Through spiritual work we can explore invisible dimensions of reality and unlock our inner capacities that can change our lives.

What thrills him most is working with like-minded souls to explore higher realms of being to discover the full potential that exists within us.

Plant medicine is medicine and has an effect on the body. If you have any significant medical conditions please get a clearance from your doctor before registering. If you take any medications regularly, get in touch with KD Meyers before registering, as formal medical clearance may be required.

The cost for this retreat is $3500 person.
What's Included:

Price includes all food (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and accommodation during the entire retreat, as well as a shuttle to and from the airport. This is an authentic medicine retreat center with simple and clean private rooms with private bath/toilet. Rooms are not air-conditioned but do have fans. Handicapped accommodations may not be available.

Hello all, Right now I'm enjoying the retired life after working in an adventurous and exciting  career as a firefighter/paramedic.  My spiritual journey actually started with a powerful Christian retreat as a teenager where I fell into a sense of oneness, abundance and this amazing, wonderful, and  loving sense that we are all in this together. But the Christian interpretation felt incomplete. This took on a search where I met  Andrew Cohen, Craig Hamilton, Jeff Carreira,  Pete/Cynthia Bamptom , Elizabeth Debold, Tom Steininger, and a few others.  I also participated for three years in  Amy Edelstein's Inner Strength Foundation, teaching mindfulness meditation to high school students in Philadelphia.  I am amazed at the transformative power of meditation and also the amazing transformative power of sharing together in a non-egoic manner with likeminded people.    For a long time my passions  had been adventure traveling and exploring places I've never seen before.  And now I am finding even greater passion in adventurous  conversations with others exploring our true nature, opening up to places we have never seen before between us.  There is nothing more exciting and loving it seems.    I am excitedly looking forward to this possibility.

Hello everyone, Creating a space together for spiritual practice and awakening is a deep longing and I am very excited to meet you. My spiritual journey actually started as a child (without being completely aware of it) during my years of intensive sport training that started at the age of 11 years old, I opened up to a magnificent state of being which was more true to me than anything else. Later as an adult I kept searching « secretly » and at the age of 34 I had a head injury cause by a car accident that left me incapacitated and I had only God to turn to. During the 5 years of recovery I had different encounter and the world of Spirit was accessible. The search for answer started more intensively. I was introduced to Shamanism (in the Lakota tradition and explored the jungle of Ecuador in the Quechua tradition), Yoga, Kundalini practices, Biodanza and Meditation in Zen Buddhism and the Tibetan tradition. Further on, the search brought me to meet different teachers, Ken Wilber, Craig Hamilton, Pete/Cynthia Bampton (where I was an active member for many years in Portugal), more recently have been an active member of Jeff Carreira Mystery School. I am as well involve actively with Elizabeth Debold, Thomas Steininger, co-founder of « evolve-world ». The profound exploration and pull of Being has been the main thread that I have been following all my life. Discovering our true nature, coming together as authentic human beings is my deepest and most loving intention for living Life. I am honoured to be on this path with you. Rick and I met on the first retreat given by Craig Hamilton 13 years ago. Wee have been grown together as spiritual partners since then and keeping moving forward with grace and care. My journey has been and is always refreshing, alive when 2 or more comes together to explore the possibilities of the awaken the divine in us. I have been a reiki practitioner for 21 years, have attended several meditation retreats worldwide, and co-hosted a couple. Last year I discovered I had been called to be a channel, a gift I'm so grateful for and humbled by. I am an artist and poet who communicates these expressions more intuitively than I ever imagined possible. I am a life and crisis coach, working on various levels. Jeff "KD" Meyers, M.D., L.Ac., is a physician, acupuncturist, and educator with an extensive background in rehabilitation medicine and holistic approaches to medicine, the arts, and spirituality. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He completed his post-doctoral training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Pennsylvania and has practiced Western and integrative medicine for over 25 years. He served as co-director of Dharma Mittra’s “Life of a Yogi” Teacher Training. Dr. Meyers’s medical practice specializes in musculoskeletal medicine and pain management, and he has led a multi-disciplinary team focused on integrative approaches to pain management. He teaches internationally on topics related to rehabilitation medicine, stress management/resilience, yoga/Ayurveda, acupuncture, somato-typology/constitutional diagnosis/body reading, meditation, and somatic practices, and has expertise in the relationship of archetypes and music to expanded consciousness. He received a Certificate in Psychedelic Therapies and Research from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) and completed ketamine-assisted psychotherapy training through multiple programs. For over 25 years he has led seminars and classes that explore the interrelationship of biology and consciousness to the arts, sciences, and spirituality. In 2009 he was graced with the blessings of the Divine Mother who gifted him with the spiritually healing power of her Song. From KD: I am interested in expanded consciousness, presence, and attunement within ourselves and in groups, “integrity” and how these aspects of human-ness can facilitate growth and integrate into daily life. I am interested in the capacity of discernment and its relationship to learning in expanded consciousness. My work has explored the interface of Western scientific and allopathic medicine traditions with integrative and spiritual traditions of the East and West and is informed by somatic disciplines. My interest in expanded consciousness and psychedelics arose out of years of exploring world spiritual traditions—including Sufism, “Hindu” and syncretic traditions in India, and indigenous, church-based, and syncretic traditions in South America—and an unexpected and powerful (energetic awakening) that led to the emerging of archetypal and non-dual awareness in my own life. I have received initiation in a number of spiritual traditions. I have led groups and been in the position of a mentor for many years in academic, clinical, and personal growth settings.
